About JobsInKenya.ke

JobsInKenya.ke is a free job board that aggregates verified job vacancies in Kenya, updated daily. It exists because finding honest work in Kenya is harder than it should be — vacancies are scattered across dozens of career pages and government portals, and the gaps between them fill up with adverts that ask job seekers for money. This site collects the real ones in a single place, checks every advert against a no-fees policy, and sends you to the employer directly.

Who runs this site?

JobsInKenya.ke is independently owned and run from Kenya. It is a small operation, not a recruitment agency and not a staffing company — we do not place candidates, we do not take a cut of anyone’s salary, and we have no commercial relationship with the employers whose vacancies we list unless they have posted with us directly.

Editorial content is published under JobsInKenya.ke Editorial. Where a guide covers something statutory — tax bands, TSC or PSC requirements, HELB terms — we cite the primary source and show when the page was last checked.

Where do the jobs come from?

Three places:

  • Employers’ own channels — company career pages, government portals such as the Public Service Commission, county government sites, NGO and UN vacancy pages.
  • Employers posting directly through Post a Job, which is free.
  • Readers, who send us vacancies they have spotted.

Every listing credits its original source with a link, so you can always confirm an advert at the place it came from. We do not republish employers’ advert text — each listing carries our own short summary, and the application always goes to the employer’s own route.

How do you check the jobs?

Every vacancy passes seven checks before it is published, the first of which is that no applicant is ever asked to pay anything. Most listings are checked automatically; everything an employer submits directly is read by a person; and we sample the automatic checks by hand every week to confirm they work.

The full method, including what our checks deliberately do not cover, is set out on our verified, no-fees policy page. We would rather you read that page than take the word “verified” on trust.

Information for website owners

We operate a crawler identifying itself as JobsInKenyaBot/1.0, which collects publicly posted job vacancies so they can be listed here with a link back to your site.

  • It respects robots.txt. If your rules disallow a path, we do not fetch it.
  • It fetches at a low rate, times out quickly, and does not attempt to work around any access control.
  • We publish a short original summary and a link to your posting. We do not reproduce your advert text.
  • Listings link back to your own application route — we never intercept applications.

If you would prefer we did not list your vacancies, tell us and we will stop. Write to us via contact and we will remove your listings and exclude your site, without argument and without asking for a reason.

How do you make money?

From employers who choose to promote their vacancies, and from advertising. Job seekers pay nothing — browsing, searching and applying through the employer’s route are free and stay free. Charging job seekers is precisely the behaviour this site exists to filter out, so we do not do it and never will.

Frequently asked questions

Are you a recruitment agency?

No. We do not place candidates, we do not represent job seekers to employers, and we take no fee or commission from anyone’s salary. We list vacancies and send applicants to the employer’s own application route. If someone claiming to be from JobsInKenya.ke offers to place you in a job for a fee, it is not us — please tell us so we can warn others.

Do you keep my CV or personal details?

Not unless you deliberately give them to us. Browsing and searching require no account. Applications go directly to the employer through their own channel, so your CV never passes through us. Where you do choose to give us something — an email address for alerts, for example — you can export or delete it at any time.

How often is the site updated?

Every day, including weekends. New vacancies are added daily and expired ones are removed daily, so you should not find yourself applying to a closed deadline. The Jobs in Kenya Today page shows only vacancies added in the last 24 hours.

I am an employer. How do I get my vacancy listed?

Post it through Post a Job, which is free. A person reads every direct submission before it publishes, so allow a little time. Vacancies asking applicants for money at any stage are rejected — see our no-fees policy for what we check.
