Free Job Alerts
Choose the kinds of jobs you want and the counties you can work in, and we send you matching vacancies every morning — free, for as long as you want them. Alerts carry only listings that have passed our no-fees checks, each with its official application link and deadline. You will need a free account to set one up, and you can stop them in one tap without signing in.
You can still browse every vacancy without an account.
How do job alerts work?
You tell us three things: the categories of work you want, the counties you can work in, and whether you are open to remote roles. Every morning at 7am we check the vacancies added since your last alert, and send you the ones that match.
Three rules shape what arrives:
- A maximum of ten jobs per alert. A list of forty is a list nobody reads.
- Nothing is sent twice. Once a vacancy has been in one of your alerts, it will not appear again.
- No matches means no email. If nothing matching came in, you hear nothing from us that day. A daily “no jobs today” message is how people stop opening alerts.
We do not send anything between 9pm and 6:30am. Anything ready in that window waits for the morning.
Do I need an account?
Yes — a free account, which takes about thirty seconds. There is no password: you give an email address, we send you a six-digit code, you type it in. You can also sign in with Google in one tap.
The account is what lets your alerts follow you when you change phone, and lets you edit or pause them later rather than being stuck with what you first chose.
Browsing does not need an account and never will. Every vacancy on this site, every search, every filter, and every employer’s application route stays open to everyone, with no sign-up and no wall. If you would rather have vacancies with no account at all, follow our WhatsApp channel — Channel coming soon — it carries every new vacancy daily, unfiltered, and needs nothing from you.
Which channels can I get alerts on?
Email and Telegram, and you can use both at once with no risk of getting the same job twice — we track what has been sent to you across channels, not per channel.
| What you get | Needs | |
|---|---|---|
| Your filtered daily alert | An account | |
| Telegram | The same filtered alert as a message | An account, plus starting our bot |
| WhatsApp channel — Channel coming soon | Every new vacancy, unfiltered | Nothing |
| Telegram channel — Channel coming soon | Every new vacancy, unfiltered, searchable | Nothing |
Personal WhatsApp alerts filtered to your categories are not available yet. Sending individual WhatsApp messages costs money per message, and at the scale we expect that cost would have to come from somewhere — either from you, or from whoever paid to be in your alert. Neither is a trade we want to make quietly, so filtered alerts run on email and Telegram, and the WhatsApp channel carries the full feed free to everybody.
Do alerts ever include jobs that ask for money?
No. Only listings that have passed all seven of our no-fees checks can enter an alert — a vacancy that fails is never published, and a listing that cannot be published cannot be sent.
If something in an alert ever asks you for money, report it using the link in the email and we will review it the same day. Our verified, no-fees policy sets out exactly what we check and, just as importantly, what our checks do not cover.
Promoted listings, when we start offering them, will be labelled and can only ever re-order jobs that already matched you. Nothing can pay its way into your alert.
How do I stop the alerts?
One tap on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any alert. You do not need to sign in, and you do not need to explain.
You can stop one channel and keep another, pause everything for a while, or delete your account entirely — and if you delete it, we delete what we held. Nothing about stopping is designed to be difficult.
Frequently asked questions
Are job alerts really free?
Yes. Setting up alerts, receiving them and acting on them costs nothing, and there is no paid tier that sends you more jobs or sends them sooner. We are paid by employers who post vacancies and by advertising, never by job seekers. If anyone asks you to pay for job alerts from JobsInKenya.ke, it is not us — please tell us.
How quickly will I hear about a new job?
Within a day. Vacancies are added throughout the day and go out in the next morning’s alert, so at worst you see a job about 24 hours after we publish it — and for most Kenyan vacancies, applying within the first 48 hours matters far more than applying within the first hour. If you want everything the moment it lands, the WhatsApp and Telegram channels carry the full feed as it is published.
Will you sell my email address?
No. We do not sell, rent or share subscriber lists, and your address is used for the alerts you asked for and nothing else. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it — see contact. If you delete your account, your alert subscriptions and the record of what we sent you go with it.
Can I get alerts for a specific employer or a specific recruitment drive?
Category and county alerts are what we offer today. For big recruitment exercises — TSC, KDF, the police service, NYS — the relevant page on this site is updated the day an announcement is gazetted, and those announcements go out to alert subscribers in the matching categories as well as to both channels. Bookmark the page for the drive you care about and set an alert for its category.
I signed up and nothing has arrived. What is wrong?
Most often one of three things: no matching vacancies came in yet, which means no alert is sent by design; the confirmation step was not completed; or the alert landed in spam or a promotions tab. Check those first, then add our sending address to your contacts. If it still looks wrong after two days, tell us and we will look at your subscription directly.
